A co-educational independent boarding and day school for children aged 9 to 18 years old, situated within acres of beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. The School supports children with dyslexia to achieve their potential in a caring, nurturing environment.
The inspiring location, wide-ranging curriculum and vast outdoor environment enables all pupils to find an area in which to shine; whether that is on the school farm, within the forest school, out on the sports fields, taking part in outdoor education and adventure activities, or joining our thriving Combined Cadet Force.
All of which is underpinned by outstanding pastoral care and specialist for children who have dyslexia. Pupils at Bredon come from the local area, the UK and the wider world, coming together to form a vibrant community of learners who are socially and morally responsible and who one another on the journey to becoming confident, resilient and capable young adults.

Children are welcome to board at Bredon from year four. We aim to provide a happy family atmosphere for our boarders, where everyone feels safe and can relax or study in a homely atmosphere. Over 40% of our pupils board with us in some capacity so the boarding environment is both busy and vibrant.
Accommodation is provided in both the historic Pull Court and in specially-designed boarding houses. Pupils typically share in rooms of 2 to 4 pupils. In the Sixth Form boarding house, all pupils are allocated their own rooms. Pupils are encouraged to display personal items, such as photographs and posters in their rooms.
A genuine home away from home
Upon joining the -knit boarding community at Bredon School every boarder is assigned to a House. Sixth Form boarders have individual rooms in Stable House. Creating a home from home family atmosphere, year are fully integrated within House with Heads of Houses providing exemplary role models for the younger pupils.
Houses are run by a team of resident staff ably supported by Heads of Houses who play a key role in running the houses. All boarding areas have communal rooms and a kitchen. Most boarders at Bredon live in small dormitories, with anything from three to six young people in each.
We can arrange trusted UK guardianship for international families.
