Based in the heart of Oxford, Cherwell College is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school for students aged between 12 and 18 years of age. Since 1972 Cherwell College has helped to prepare students for the most prestigious higher education destinations, using the specialised, student-focused techniques favoured by Oxford and Cambridge.

This means teaching in very small of two or individual tutorials, allowing focussed attention on the student's strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. This method also encourages much more engagement than would be possible in standard schools, with student and teacher engaging in scholarly debate and conversation and honing university-level academic thinking.

Cherwell College has an extremely international student body, offering all pupils an enriching environment, but also meaning that our study centre and tutors are able to adapt easily to the unique requirements of each student.

We offer Oxbridge-style teaching in one-to-one and small group tutorials, which encourages students to develop confidence, discipline and ability to think independently, and enables them to go on to study successfully at the highest levels in further education.
