School pupils belong to one of four Houses with a Housemaster or Housemistress responsible for each House which includes both boarding and day pupils. Pupils meet regularly with their own personal tutor to ensure that they are happy and their school work is progressing well, as well as having the pastoral of their House parent, the Assistant who is also resident in the House and a matron.
Senior School boarding houses include 2 for boys and and 2 for girls with 40 to 50 boarders in each house. A comprehensive weekend activities programme includes trips such as visits to London, Alton Towers Theme Park and Cambridge as well as local outings to the cinema, bowling, roller blading and the theatre.

Special notes to agents about entry to the school Young people of all nationalities are welcome at Culford School with boarding places available from the age of seven. Application procedure and entrance tests Admission to both Senior and Prep Schools is by examination in mathematics and English, together with verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests.
Following success in the Senior School Entrance Examinations, candidates will be offered a . International applicants sit aptitude tests and examinations in English (EAL) and mathematics, to test general academic ability in English. All pupils will be required to produce current school reports .
