Etherton Education offers residential academic summer courses for international students coming to study at a British boarding school in the UK. Our Residential Courses are designed to prepare international students for studying in British boarding schools.
They are also suitable for students who just want a 'taste' of British Education. We run two residential courses here in the UK: Pre-A-Level / Pre-IB Course: for students aged 15-17 years. Pre-GCSE Course: for students aged 12-15 years. Our Aims: To help students prepare in every way for their future education at a British boarding school.
To improve student's ability to study and learn in the medium of English and British study skills.

To give students an immersion experience by surrounding them with British Student Hosts for 50 hours per week, allowing them to practise social English with friendly native speakers. To explain to students how to be happy and successful at their future schools.
What the school is known for? Our students aim high. They are focused, ambitious and ready to work hard to get places at top schools and universities. Our English for Education academic summer courses prepare students to study in British boarding and day schools for A-Level, IB, GCSE (one or two year courses), National Curriculum or Common Entrance.

Boarding at Etherton Education - Academic Residential Summer Courses
Day-to-day boarding life and pastoral care at Etherton Education - Academic Residential Summer Courses.

Participating in Etherton Education courses gives a very authentic introduction to boarding in British schools. Students are housed in single-sex accommodation on the school campus, and are looked after by House Parents. The role of our House Parents is to ensure the welfare of all students in their care each summer.
Everyone at Etherton Education takes pride in our pastoral care, our staffing ratio throughout the summer rarely exceeds three students to one member of staff. All bedding is provided, but students do need to bring their own (named) towels and personal toiletries.
A genuine home away from home

Our boarding house accommodation is an excellent preparation for life in a British Boarding school. The environment is supportive, disciplined and busy. Our House Parents are experienced, caring people who look after the welfare and happiness of the students in their care.
The host school campus is located in a rural environment. Girls and boys live in separate accommodation to the teaching buildings. Most of the rooms are twins but there are some larger multi-bedded rooms usually allocated to younger students.
