Farringtons opened on Thursday 21st September 1911 with fourteen pupils. After over 100 years and substantial development, Farringtons now enjoys over 650 pupils, both boys and girls. Our aims are numerous, but very clear: to provide the best in education for every child in our care within a happy, safe, supportive Christian environment; to offer a wide variety of extracurricular pursuits to all age in order to promote the healthy development of the whole child; and to produce confident, self-reliant, compassionate and responsible young men and women, who, when they leave us at 18, will be equipped to take up the challenges of the 21st century.
LOCATION Farringtons occupies 25 acres of parkland in picturesque Kent, and yet is only 12 miles from central London. Chislehurst is 5 minutes from the M25, 45 minutes from Gatwick Airport, 1.5 hours from Heathrow International Airport, and 20 minutes by train from Charing Cross and Waterloo stations.
The School has a large sports hall, indoor heated swimming pool, creative arts and technology block, two boarding houses, ICT suites, science laboratories, Chapel and refurbished kitchens and dining facilities.

She opened her school on Thursday 21 September 1911 with fourteen pupils and over the next few years Farringtons began to flourish. Despite a short evacuation to Devon during the latter part of the First World War, the School's reputation and its pupil numbers went from strength to strength.
By the early 1920s the accommodation at Farringtons was insufficient for its needs and further building work was required to relieve the situation. In June 1925, the School was greatly honoured when Queen Mary visited to open these new buildings.
