King Edward's Witley — around the school

Our mission reflects our proud history, thriving present and bright future and is 'to create educational journeys with opportunities and shared experiences that transform the lives of our united community'. Over 480 pupils from years 7 to 13 (first to sixth form) flourish in our co-educational school within a 100 acre learning environment which inspires curiosity, ignites passions and prompts discovery.

We have been united in our diversity since our foundation in 1553. Most of our students transitioned to Russell Group Universities, in 2024 including Cambridge, Imperial College, UCL and LSE after taking their academic qualifications, which now include BTEC and level 3 courses in sport, music and technology, as well as our A level programmes.

We are proud of our students' diverse aspirations, and their onward journeys from our school reflect their ambition.

At King Edward's, we offer day, full boarding, weekly boarding and flexi-boarding opportunities and we seek to curate excellent school experiences, enabling our pupils to realise their ambitions and potential, and which are truly bespoke to their individual needs, strengths and personalities.

King Edward's Witley — pupils in their boarding house

We offer full, weekly, flexible and occasional boarding to help pupils that benefit from a boarding education. As well as our British boarders, almost all of our international pupils are full boarders. For those living closer to the School, we know boarding helps busy families' work-life balance but the greatest demand for boarding is from our pupils who love being able to fit more into their active schedules, while spending extra time with their friends and peers.

Full boarders stay at the School seven days a week, except for exeat weekends. There are two exeat weekends in most terms, which start at 4pm on Friday afternoons with pupils returning Sunday evening. Weekly boarders typically go home on a Friday evening and return to school on Sunday evening.
