The vast majority of Kingswood Sixth Formers go on to university, either immediately after School or after a gap year. The Head of Sixth Form, Mr Craig Woodgate takes responsibility for applications to higher education institutions, working closely with the Head of Careers.

All students receive individual attention from the Head of Sixth Form and advice from tutors and teachers to them in making well-informed choices about post A-Level options. Of our graduating class of 2025, 95% of students received an offer of a to their choice of University and 74% secured a at a Russell Group University.

We therefore have dedicated members of staff who are committed to making a boarding experience at Kingswood a very positive one for each individual child.

The House Parents strive to make the house as much like a family home as possible. Each are aided by an experienced House Matron and on-site medical centre and a number of qualified teaching staff. The weekly programme is varied and exciting to fully engage the children and provide a very positive boarding experience.

At Kingswood we have seven houses, six of which are boarding houses: Beaconfield, Fonthill, Summerhill, Hall, Middle, Upper and School House. All the boarding houses are run by resident House staff and their assistants. Beaconfield House, (Ages 11-13) (Unknown) Beaconfield is the boarding house for pupils in the Lower School at Kingswood.

It is the only boarding house at the School that is home to both boys and girls. Beaconfield currently has 32 boarders, who are cared for by Mr and Mrs Newbould, House Parents and Miss Beconsall. All positively encourage each child to develop his or her potential to the full.
