Loughborough Grammar School, founded in 1495, blends over 500 years of tradition with a modern and innovative outlook. With around 800 boys aged 10-18, the School is part of the Loughborough Schools Foundation - a family of three schools and a Nursery with over 2000 pupils, creating a strong sense of community and belonging.
Loughborough Grammar provides the best of both worlds as an all-boys' school on a co-educational campus. This means our boys benefit from small classes, a learning environment designed to help them perform to their academic potential, and a co-curricular programme which sees them sharing opportunities and experiences with the girls at Loughborough High School.
The result is that our boys perform strongly at GCSEs and A Levels and develop into well-rounded individuals ready to take their next steps in the world.
Boarders at Loughborough Grammar enjoy a supportive and secure environment with immersive, cultural trips, strong pastoral care, and tailored for English as a second . Loughborough welcomes over 2000 international university students each year to our local Top 10 university, Loughborough University, making it very safe and welcoming to our pupils who find it easy to quickly settle in and feel at home.
