Luckley House School is a thriving coeducational day and boarding school for pupils in Years 7 to 13. The uniqueness of the school lies in the combination of its Christian ethos and size (380 pupils). A focus on the individual brings an education that affirms talent and develops potential.
The school has been seen as progressive and successful, and never more so than in recent years, with developing facilities and rising academic standards Luckley is set in the beautiful Royal County of Berkshire countryside with outstanding grounds and facilities.
The School is the perfect location for boarders, with easy access to main airports (Heathrow is 30 minutes and Gatwick 1 hour by car) and to main railway stations.
London is a 45-minute train ride away and Windsor, Oxford, Reading, Ascot and many other places of historical and cultural interest are nearby. We provide a distinctly academic education that is tailored to the individual needs of each pupil This is offered in the context of a broad curriculum which celebrates the arts and sports, as much as academic achievement.

The curriculum at Luckley ensures continuity and progression in the important years leading to GCSE and A Level. Years 7 - 9 (Key Stage 3) Students follow a broad, balanced programme of study including: English, Drama, Mathematics, Science, Modern Languages (French, Spanish, Mandarin), Geography, History, Religious Studies, Art, Computer Science, Music, Physical Education, Food and Nutrition, Engineering, Photography, Textiles and our Personal and Social Education programme.
Latin is available as an optional subject as part of our extended day programme. Years 10 - 11 (GCSE) In Year 9, students receive guidance in their choice of GCSE options. All pupils follow a common core of English, English Literature, Mathematics, Science & Additional Science or Triple Award Science and a Modern Foreign Language.

School we encourage the enrolment of students from across the UK, from overseas, and from families working within the armed forces. As a small boarding community within a thriving day school, we offer a genuinely personalised experience that many families now actively prefer, particularly those students new to boarding.
With just 40 boarding places, every pupil is known as an individual, and our international students are fully integrated with British day pupils, creating a more natural and immersive environment. This makes us an excellent option for: First-time boarders Families seeking a softer, more supported transition into UK boarding Students who may feel overwhelmed in larger, more formal schools Short-term or trial boarding placements Alongside full boarding, we also offer flexible and short-term programmes, which can be a very effective entry point for families who are not yet ready to commit long-term.
A genuine home away from home
The boarders enjoy modern, beautifully decorated bedrooms and spend their free time in spacious, homely common rooms, complete with comfy sofas and large screen TVs. The well-equipped kitchen areas are popular for making snacks and drinks. The bathrooms are clean and bright, with showers and a bath available.
Other facilities include the use of the school laundry facilities. Oak House (Boys and Girls) Both boarding houses are mixed gender, but have separate 'wings' which are securely accessed. Living accommodation is also located in Oak House, which is above the Sixth Form Centre.
