Founded in 1699, Sidcot is a thriving non-selective co-educational boarding and day school situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Somerset, to Bristol and Bath and only a two hour train ride from London. Location and Community Location: North Somerset, England (near Bristol and Bath).
Travel: 2 hours from London by train; to Bristol International Airport. Community: A friendly school for boys and girls (ages 3-18). Atmosphere: A safe, happy, and international community with students from over 30 countries. Academic Programs High School (GCSE): Standard 2-year courses or a fast 1-year "Pathway" for Year 11.
Sixth Form (Ages 16-18): Students can choose between: A-Levels: Traditional subject focus.
Success: Nearly 50% of students go to Russell Group Universities (the UK's best universities). Boarding and Student Care Houses: 5 comfortable boarding houses with Wi-Fi, common rooms, and kitchens. Support: Specialized staff help international students settle in and feel at home.

Academics at Sidcot
What pupils study at Sidcot — and where it takes them.
Students will usually have one 50-minute individual lesson per week and where it is deemed that more than one lesson is required this can be arranged in consultation with parents and/or guardians. The teacher will design an individual programme of work according to the specific learning needs of each student.
EAL lessons are charged at an hourly rate for individual lessons with students paying for a block of ten lessons at the start of each term. In some cases this will need to be supplemented with further payments depending on the number of lessons taught.

Boarding provides students with the space to focus on their work, whilst also giving them the chance to get involved in a wide range of extra-curricular activities that might not be practical whilst living at home.
Pastoral care and staffing Should a student have a problem in school or at home, there are always people they can talk to and they will know how to help or what to do. In the first instance it may be the student's tutor or house master/mistress, or it might be the student Head of House, or a teacher that they get on well with and trust.

The Boarding Houses The facilities in each of the five boarding houses are broadly similar. When a student joins, they will share a room with three or four others, giving them a chance to make friends in the house. Lower Sixth students will share with one or two students; Upper Sixth students have their own study or bedroom, or share with another student.
