Blundell's — campus and grounds

When you choose Blundell's as the school for your son or daughter you open up a world of opportunities for them. For some their journey begins at our Pre-Prep, for others it is in our Sixth Form, but wherever a pupil starts we are confident that the thread of the Blundell's Experience is consistently woven throughout their daily lives.

At Blundell's we see education as being so much more than exam results. We see education as being about developing young women and men who are ready to make a meaningful difference to their communities. While our pupils are with us we hope that their schooling will be an extraordinarily fulfilling and uplifting experience for them.

It is our intention to give them the best possible start in life by giving them an education that will equip them to enjoy well-lived lives; lives of meaning, fulfilment and consequence.
Blundell's — specialist facilities

We ensure that each pupil will have a sense of achievement, to experience the satisfaction of having something well, by being successful. We help pupils to find meaning and purpose in their endeavours and we fuel them with the optimism they need to believe that they can make a difference.

Overall, we want their lives at school to be deeply engaging. We want pupils to love being at school and to throw themselves into the opportunities this wonderful has to offer. Happiness, we believe, is a consequence of doing these things well, rather than an end unto itself.

Blundell's — around the school

Boarding is fundamental to the Blundell's ethos. All pupils, including day pupils, are attached to a Boarding House, and these Houses quickly become central to a pupil's life at school. A boarding ethos such as ours brings many benefits, but chief amongst these are the values and social skills imparted in the boarding environment.

Skills such as getting on with others, making conversation, and studying independently, for instance, and values such as kindness, inclusivity, integrity, and respect for others. All are vital in helping our pupils grow into adults who will make a positive contribution to the world around them, and all are promoted, learned and honed within the boarding environment.

Blundell's — campus and grounds

All pupils at Blundell's are assigned to a Boarding House. Each House consists of boarders (full, weekly & flexi) and day pupils and the academic tutoring system operates under the guidance of the Housemaster or Housemistress. The House is where pupils find friendship, community, and advice, as well as a genuine sense of belonging.

The Boarding Houses provide a true home within the school for all of our pupils, somewhere for them to do their work, relax with their friends and, for the boarders, to sleep. Yet they are much more than this, for it is through the houses that pupils learn the social skills that will serve them in later life: how to get on with others, how to work as part of a team, and how to and care for those around them.

We can arrange trusted UK guardianship for international families.
