Concord College is set in a 73-acre campus in the heart of the English countryside and its Summer School has been welcoming international students for over 40 years. Concord College is an international community dedicated to rigour, kindness, and creativity.

The college provides a safe, vibrant, and friendly environment in which students can flourish, find confidence and a sense of self-worth whilst building foundations for future academic success. The excellent academic and recreational facilities provide students with a fantastic British summer school experience.

Concord offers the choice of an English, Humanities or STEM Summer School.

Concord College Summer — the school grounds

School history Concord was founded in 1949 after WW2 by Mr Paul Oertel and Miss Monica Carr-Taylor, as a small privately-owned school just outside Hastings in Sussex. It was at its heart, a response to the hatred and bitterness of war by using teaching and personal warmth to break down barriers and misunderstandings between peoples.

The College soon moved to larger and more conducive premises at Tunbridge Wells in Kent and expanded to offer A Levels. The word Concord means 'harmony' and the first generation of students remember a family friendly atmosphere in which the joint Principals worked tirelessly for the welfare and academic success of their students.
