Embley is a school for the 21st Century that has recently been accredited by HMC. It is in the top 1% of schools nationally at A Level. Embley is an academically selective school which is purposefully suited to the challenges of the modern world - the deliberate purposeful formation of young people is our aim, helping them become the best versions of themselves.

What pupils study at Embley — and where it takes them.
Alongside our rich curricular and co-curricular programme, students participate in a weekly Games afternoon, a Physical Education (PE) lesson and a fortnightly Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE) lesson as part of their core timetable.
For all Senior School year , English is taught in mixed ability , with stretch and challenge for the top end and for those who need it achieved through targeted differentiation. Mathematics is taught according to attainment from Year 9, this ensures that class content is well-targeted to students who may be preparing for different GCSE exam levels or advanced academic qualifications.

Over 90% of students have gained entry to their UK universities of choice (remaining 10% of leavers are on gap year apprenticeships or in full time employment); 50% of those have places to study at Russell Group universities including the University of Cambridge, University of Southampton, University of Bath, University of Exeter, Manchester University, Loughborough University and Queens University Belfast. Reflecting their individual aims and ambitions, they go on to read a wide range of subjects including Marine Biology with Oceanography, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biology, Computer Science, Relations and Conflict Studies, Fine Art, Accounting and Finance.

Boarding at Embley opens up a wide range of exciting experiences and academic opportunities where our dedicated team of staff and guide our students through their time with us. We provide our boarders (Years 7 to 13) with a space they can call their home; where they feel safe, happy and content; where they learn and develop a sense of purpose and of themselves; and where they build life-long friendships.
We offer a number of boarding options to our families across the UK and internationally. Boarders live in our historic Manor House which dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries. It was the family home of the eminent nurse and statistician Florence Nightingale.
A genuine home away from home
One Boarding House of mixed size rooms situated in the Manor House. Our Heads of Boarding, Mr Johnathan Mc Credie and Mrs Isabelle Mc Credie, live in the Manor House. Along with our boarding tutors, dedicated nurses and matron, our boarders are guided and supported academically and pastorally in a happy, safe and secure home-from-home family environment.
Manor House (Boys and Girls) Our bedrooms situated across three floors in the Manor House, each with views of the school's stunning 130-acre historic parkland. Boarders share rooms with others of a similar age and there are a number of single rooms available as an option for Sixth Form students.
We can arrange trusted UK guardianship for international families.
