including Food Technology and Drama. Age 13+ - Year 9 As well as English and Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics are studied as separate sciences. Pupils continue with Latin or begin Spanish or German. In addition they can choose two languages and two creative subjects from: Greek, Art and Design and Ceramics, Music, Design Technology, Food Technology and Drama.
GCSE/IGCSE OPTIONS - Years 10 and 11 Students begin their GCSE or IGCSE subjects. Compulsory Subjects: English, English Literature, (English Language as an Additional Language) and Mathematics. Science core: Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Dual Award Science.

Where our leavers go
Almost all pupils at Haberdashers' Monmouth School go on to university with the majority (normally in excess of 90%) achieving their first or insurance choice offers. There is a long tradition of students who go on to Oxford or Cambridge.
Around 65% of our students will go on to Russell Group universities with many also going on to Medical School. Support is also provided for those who decide university is not the next step for them when leaving Year 13.

Boarding at our school At Haberdashers' Monmouth School, we are justly proud of our boarding. We have a boarding community of around 150 full-time boarders. Our boarders from Year 3 to 13 reside in one of five distinct boarding houses, each with its own character and house team.
Our junior boarding house, co-ed, feeds into three single-sex middle houses, before pupils move into one of our purpose-built, single-sex, Sixth Form Houses. In Sixth Form, each rooms has it's own ensuite providing a pre-university experience and increased independence in a controlled environment.
A genuine home away from home
At Haberdashers' Monmouth School, we are justly proud of our boarding provision. Approximately 150 of our students are boarders, spread across our five boarding houses. We pride ourselves on creating a true home-from-home atmosphere, with a warm and welcoming boarding community supported by a team of dedicated and caring Housemasters and matrons.
We have a co-ed boarding house for our prep-aged boys and girls and then single-sex boarding houses for our senior students. Our aim is that every boarder should enjoy a full and rich experience of school life; make lifelong friends, lovely memories and a strong sense of community.
