We provide a full mainstream education leading pupils towards GCSEs, A Levels and BTECs. It is our uniquely tailored curriculum that allows pupils to excel and reach their potential. The opportunity to mix and match A Levels and BTECs enables pupils to learn appropriately and progress to university, further education courses, apprenticeships or direct entry to the work .
English as an additional ESOL / EAL / IELTS We have gained an excellent reputation for providing for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Belonging to a happy, positive, family community is the key to the success of our pupils. This sense of community and belonging comes from our holistic approach to education which values equally the academic, physical, and pastoral well-being of our pupils - the mind, the body, and spirit.
For many of our pupils, being a boarder is a critical element in this package; yet for all pupils, the boarding ethos of the school is at the heart of St David's approach to learning. We believe that life in a boarding school should be an all-encompassing experience where pupils are given the and confidence to get involved and dare to 'have a go'.
A genuine home away from home
All of our boarding houses are based within the school grounds, a secure and secluded location. Each boarding house has a its own kitchen, for senior pupils to prepare their own meals if they wish, a lounge/communal area and shower rooms. The average capacity is 3 boarders per room, with 6th Form students having the option to have a room to themselves and separate bathroom facilities.
The school has a laundry service on-site. Each boarding house has a House Master who is supported by a Residential Assistant. Hettie Flat (Unknown) A specially designed space for junior boarders located in the main building with a dedicated member of the residential staff looking after the boarders.
We can arrange trusted UK guardianship for international families.

Special notes to agents about entry to the school St David's College is non-academically selective and there is no entrance examination. Places are considered following an interview with the Headmaster (video call for overseas students) and are offered based on the success of that interview in conjunction with information gleaned from recent school reports, a 'taster' 3-day stay, and information from other educational professionals, where appropriate.
We ask that students with an additional learning need have a recent Educational Psychologists report and a most recent school report. Application procedure and entrance tests The school does not have an entrance examination. After the school has gained enough information from prospective students an interview is arranged - this can be either in at the school or through a video call conversation.
