Traditional co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 0-18 years. Founded in 1847. Located on the edge of Taunton Town - only 1hr 40mins direct train from London Paddington. Outstanding facilities including two swimming pools, multiple astroturf pitches, a fitness suite, a modern theatre, a music school, a spacious library, well-equipped art studios and latest IT suites.
Lively international community leading the way in independent education, with over 50 nationalities. Offer A Levels, IB, BTEC and Foundation at Sixth Form, plus USA University and SAT preparation and testing. The School was founded in 1847. Due to its non-conformist foundation, the School has always been able to boast an inclusive, broad-minded and welcoming character. It moved to its present site in 1870. The original house, Fairwater, dating from the 18th century, is now a boys' boarding house.

School comprises Taunton Senior School, Taunton Preparatory School and Taunton School International, all housed in dedicated specialist buildings and sharing many facilities on the spacious campus. International students are welcome in all parts of Taunton School, with several clear entry points depending on age, academic ability and level of written English.
Pastoral care and staffing Senior Students (Ages 13-18) Taunton School boarders live in comfortable boarding houses and are cared for by dedicated house staff. There is a medical centre on the campus providing 24 hour medical care. Good telephone and wireless access throughout the campus make it easy for pupils to keep in touch with home.

Bedrooms are usually allocated on an age basis with the older students having their own single study bedroom and the younger students sharing in mixed nationality bedrooms. The bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped. There are 5 boarding houses for Taunton School students, 3 for boys (Wills East, Wills West and Fairwater) and 2 for girls (Woodyer and Weirfield).
