The Wrekin school community is very strong, with excellent relationships between pupils and staff. Wrekin was 140 years old in 2020, with all the traditions of an English education. But it is also a cosmopolitan, vibrant community. We have two junior houses and six senior houses, three of which accommodate both our UK and international boarders combined.
Opportunities abound in music, art, sport, drama, debating, Combined Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh, as well as many other activities. However, our focus is on academic achievement, producing well-educated and rounded individuals, with a wealth of skills to enable them to confidently enter the world of further education and employment.
Wrekin also has its own Business School, providing pupils with an environment in which they can immerse themselves in the world of business.

Our unique, purpose-built Business School, gives pupils exceptional opportunities cross-curricular learning in an office-style setting. Employability is at the heart of Wrekin. The Wrekin Business School was created not only to provide our Accounting, Business Studies, Economics and Psychology students with an environment in which they can immerse themselves in the world of business but also allow the whole school to experience guest lectures, life skill seminars and real world business challenges to help them with their future careers.
What the school is known for? Wrekin is known for its excellent pastoral care and its caring community. Our care and in-depth individual knowledge of every pupil allows us to push them to achieve the very best that they are capable of. This is greatly helped by our Challenge Grade Review system, with regular (monthly) reporting informing parents and pupils whether they are on track to achieve the very best they are capable of achieving, and if not, targets to help them improve.
