Wychwood — school buildings and grounds

At Wychwood, we believe that when young minds are encouraged to think boldly and creatively, they become the architects of a brighter future. Nestled in the heart of Oxford-a city steeped in knowledge and inspiration-Wychwood is a distinctive day and boarding school for girls and boys aged 11-18, where the community is strong and attention for the individual is paramount.

Our nurturing environment champions the individuality of every pupil, empowering them to grow not only through academic achievement, but through resilience, curiosity, and leadership. In a world that never stops evolving, we guide students to navigate change with confidence and imagination through a creative programme which stems from the academic but blends entrepreneurship with sport, art, drama and music to develop skills at all levels.

Led by our Head, Mrs Jane Evans, whose wisdom and compassionate leadership shape every aspect of school life, Wychwood offers more than a traditional education.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with the Josh Mc Eachran Football Academy, a collaboration that expands sporting opportunities and skills-based learning for both boys and girls. It marks one of our most exciting partnerships to date - with more on the horizon - and offers a unique chance to share best practice not only in football, but also in pastoral care and pupil education.

Here, every classroom, club, sports arena and conversation is infused with purpose and possibility. Because at Wychwood, we don't just prepare students for exams-we prepare them to shape the world. What the school is known for? Where Individuality Thrives At Wychwood, every pupil is seen, heard, and celebrated.
