Bede's Summer School welcomes over 1,500 students from 6-20 years old from over 60 different nationalities and offers a range of fully inclusive academic and holiday residential summer programmes at 5 beautiful boarding school and university locations in South East England in July and August.
Bede's Summer School aims to provide an amazing and unforgettable linguistic, social and cultural experience to every single one of its students. Our range of different courses include English Plus, Little Explorers, Future Explorers, English for the Future, Pathways to Higher Education and a selection of specialist courses including LALIGA Football Camps UK, Pro Tennis, Pro Dance, Pro Music, Business Leadership, Bear Grylls Adventure Camps and Zoology & Animal Management.
Some courses use CLIL methodology, teaching English through a range of subjects such as Science and Technology, expanding students' knowledge of the world at the same time as improving their skills.

Intensive examination courses are available (Cambridge B1 Preliminary, B2 First and C1 Advanced, and IELTS) for those students who wish to leave Bede's with a recognised qualification. Optional Academies offer professional tuition in a wide range of sports and adventure pursuits, creative activities and academic subjects and are designed to increase students' skills, technique and knowledge.
Bede's Summer School is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK (last inspection August 2022 resulted in strengths in 10 areas) and is a proud member of Quality English and English UK. Bede's Summer School is also named a Centre of Excellence by the EL Gazette.

Students can learn and develop their love of English through stimulating lessons taught by qualified, enthusiastic and committed teachers. Each of our centres and courses has a closely defined age range that facilitates the design and delivery of a relevant, challenging and constructive syllabus in line with the Bede's mission, where students can enjoy multicultural classes with a 20% cap on student enrolments to ensure a diverse international student community.

Boarding at Bede's Summer
Day-to-day boarding life and pastoral care at Bede's Summer.
Accommodation is provided on campus to ensure students' safety and well-being and is included in the weekly package price on a full-board basis. Students are supervised in their accommodation by Bede's staff who live in the same boarding houses as the students.
Most students will share their bedroom with 1 or more students of a similar age from a different country so that they can practise their English. Bede's Summer School Eastbourne offers separate accommodation for boys and girls, with bright, cosy bedrooms (some with sea views) which cater for four to eight students.

In order to book a summer course with Bede's Summer School. a registration form needs to be filled in either online or by filling in and scanning a pdf form. The minimum recommended stay is 2 weeks and whilst we do accept 1 week bookings, we might not be able to accept them in the peak summer weeks.
