Concord College consistently ranks as one of the top 10 co-educational boarding schools for academic achievement in the UK. Amongst its many accolades, in 2025 Concord was named as a Spears World Top 100 boarding school and Hurun/HSBC Top 100 Boarding School too.
Students are universally bright and inquisitive, but they also have many different skills, interests and personal qualities. The vibrant student community is truly international, with over 40 countries represented. 85% of its c. 560 students are from outside the UK.
Fees also include curriculum-based residential trips, its outdoor education program, boarding house activities and the majority of clubs and societies. Concord firmly believes in being a community, so its celebratory events such as the annual year group dinners and fabulous leavers ball are also included in the fee.
Exams & Destinations Concord students are highly academic and enjoy learning in an environment that celebrates their commitment to studying. In 2025, 87% of GCSE results were graded 7-9 (previously A*/A) and 83% of A Levels were graded A*/A.

Academics at Concord College
What pupils study at Concord College — and where it takes them.
At Form 4 (Year 10) all will study Mathematics, English (and English Literature in most cases) and the sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). In addition, they are able to choose from a range of subjects to study to GCSE or IGCSE level, including Art, Astronomy, Computer Science, Drama, Economics, French, Geography, German, History, Music (BTEC Level 2), Religious Studies, Spanish and Statistics.
In the Sixth Form (Year 12) students can choose to study either three or four subjects to A Level plus possibly one or two subjects to AS Level. There are a wide range of subjects to choose from including Art, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English, French, Further Mathematics, Geography, History, Mathematics, Photography, Physics and Spanish.

Where our leavers go
Concord students regularly gain admission to prestigious universities in the UK and around the world. The College has a particularly strong record of placing students into Engineering, Economics and Maths courses as well as into the UK medical schools and for leading Architecture programmes.
In 2025 for example, 30 students gained places at medical, dental or veterinary schools. Leavers in 2025 went on to study a wide range of courses at many prestigious universities including 12 who went on to Oxford and Cambridge.
In 2025, 100 students went on to World Top 50 universities. The "Big 5" universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL and LSE remain very popular with Concordians, though other prestigious UK universities and courses outside of London are also frequently represented in their choices.
Last year these included Warwick, Manchester, Durham, Edinburgh, and Bristol. UK's Russel Group universities saw 120Concordians secure places in 2025.
Last year non UK university destinations included: Berkeley, NYU, UCLA, University of Michigan and Washington in the US, HKU and HKUST in Hong Kong and Parsons in Paris. Whether their passions and future careers are scientific or more artistic, students secured coveted places including for medicine, dentistry and veterinary schools, Engineering, Architecture, International Relations and the Liberal Arts among others.

provides a home away from home, and the College becomes much more than just a school; it provides an opportunity to grow in confidence and independence, and to make life-long friendships. Students share so many experiences together, and it is this sharing of the experience of boarding life and of growing through the teenage years together that makes friendship and bonds that can last a lifetime.
At Concord, students study hard, but also enjoy life and make use of the many facilities that Concord has to offer. There is a vast array of activities, clubs and societies available as well as opportunities for rest and relaxation around the school and in the boarding residences.
A genuine home away from home
Concord has 17 boarding residences in total, with the largest (Bell) accommodating 70 boarders and the smallest (Cherry Orchard) just 5. All Concord's residences are single-sex (or have separate entrances and facilities for girl and boy boarders) and each has a Boarding Parent who lives in attached accommodation and is supported by Assistant Boarding Parents and other staff.
Our youngest students are all accommodated in residences in the heart of the campus, all Form 3 and Form 4 boarders are together in either Bell residence (boys) or Taylor's (girls). Form 5 boarders who are all returning to the College may also be in Bell or Taylors or they might have rooms in Highfield (girls) or Orchard House (boys).

January starts are possible for students from some nations (where the education year matches January starts). Please do get in touch to discuss options. We recommend a September start where that is possible for the student. Special notes to agents about entry to the school As a truly international school, Concord's admissions process is open year-round and online entry tests are scheduled throughout the year, though they happen more frequently in early autumn.
Concord is academically selective and over-subscribed so application early is recommended (putting applicants in the first group to be considered). The first wave of admissions tests for entry takes in late summer / early autumn of the year before entry (for example tests for entry in September 2025 will begin in late summer 2024).
