Ellesmere College is a fully co-educational school set in the beautiful English countryside. Founded in 1884, the school offers students between the ages of 7 to 18 the chance to achieve success in both their studies and a wide range of activities, including music, art, sport and drama, in a happy, friendly atmosphere.
Great Britain has a world-wide reputation for its high standards of education and here at Ellesmere College we that tradition by concentrating on the academic and social needs of every student. We prepare students for their GCSEs, IGCSE's, A-Levels, International A Levels, B-TEC and the International Baccalaureate as well as giving them the opportunity to enjoy a full and varied arts, music, sports and social programme.
Standing in its own stunning grounds covering more than 50 hectares, the school is conveniently located near the small, historic town of Ellesmere, and is less than 100 kilometres from both of England's second major cities, Manchester and Birmingham.
This ideal location means students can benefit from the vast range of activities both cities have to offer whilst living and studying in a safe and tranquil English country setting. What the school is known for? At Ellesmere College we believe it is not enough just to make sure that our students are successful at passing exams - important though this is - but that they also get the best of all that a British education can offer.

College provides a friendly and warm environment with family values at its heart. Students from many countries are all part of our boarding community, becoming fully involved in school life. Our modern accommodation provides a high quality, comfortable and secure environment for our students, with residential staff on site to tend to the students' needs 24 hours a day.
There is a liaison between the boarding and teaching staff to ensure a continuity of care at all times. There are a variety of bedrooms within the boarding house, the majority of which are single and twin, with en-suite options. Wi-Fi internet connection is available throughout the school.
A genuine home away from home
With many areas of the Boarding life at Ellesmere College being described as 'outstanding' it is little wonder many pupils choose to board here. Ellesmere is progressive in its thinking and offers boarding based on age group (Junior, Middle and the Sixth Form).
This allows boarders to grow and learn within larger friendship , share more experiences together and form life-long relationships. Each House is run by an experienced Housemaster or Housemistress and, with the of a strong pastoral team, offers a safe and friendly environment for the students to call 'home'.
