At Kimbolton School, we offer a truly bespoke British boarding education experience for pupils aged 11 to 18, within the inspiring surroundings of a historic castle. Our small, family like community is known for its exceptional pastoral care, academic excellence, and a rich array of co-curricular activities.
Located in the picturesque village of Kimbolton, just outside Cambridge, an international centre of academic prestige - we provide a unique blend of tradition and modern education. (Art, DTE, Food and Nutrition) they wish to study in the Third Form. All first choices are guaranteed but numbers may prevent us from granting all pupils' second choices. Years 10 and 11The same approach of a broad and balanced curriculum continues in the Fourth and Fifth Forms.
GCSE options are made in the spring of the Third Form. All pupils take GCSEs in English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, at least one foreign , at least one humanity (Geography, History, PRE), either Double Science or all three sciences, plus choices from a creative/technical subject menu.

Pastoral care and staffing At Kimbolton, the health and wellbeing of our boarders are paramount.
are located on Kimbolton village's historic and beautiful High Street in Cambridgeshire, and back onto the school grounds. The boys live in Kimbolton House while the girls are a few doors further along in White House. Both houses have a rich history and are full of character yet have modern facilities that meet the needs of 's teenagers.
There is a relaxed family atmosphere in both boarding houses. We encourage boarders to personalise their rooms and to treat the houses like home while respecting the needs of others. Younger boarders share rooms while older ones have study bedrooms more akin to university accommodation.

Special notes to agents about entry to the school Application procedure and entrance tests Entry to the school is dependent on an entrance examination, for entry to Y7 to Y10 the examination is in English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning. For entry to the Sixth Form the examination is in English and the three subjects the candidate wishes to take at A Level.
Following the marking of these papers, if deemed successful the candidate will attend an interview with the Deputy Head Academic via video . References from current schools are sought and offers made thereafter. English levels required for entry to the school Whilst we conduct our own entrance examination in English we are looking at candidates joining us to be around the IELTS level 5.
