The Stonyhurst Language School offers a combination of residential courses for children aged between 10 and 17 years of age. The young people in our care are given the individual attention, encouragement, resources and space to experience student life at Stonyhurst.

This section provides information on: The curriculum, performing and creative arts, English as an additional , and special educational needs (SEN). About the curriculum Our English course is designed to challenge students, to advance their understanding of English, improve their skills and increase their confidence in using newly acquired skills in interesting and enjoyable ways.
All students receive 23 hours of English tuition per week. Our course promotes independent study and there will be a lesson based in an IT room which focuses on promoting self-study techniques. Additionally, our Director of Studies oversees all classes and is available to provide additional to our students.

Day-to-day boarding life and pastoral care at Stonyhurst Summer Language School & Tennis Academy.
Accommodation is in single sex boarding houses with either single or twin bedrooms. The Language School uses the best accommodation Stonyhurst has to offer. This includes a boarding house with all en-suite facilities. Stonyhurst has just undergone a major refurbishment of a whole boarding house, including re-decoration and new furniture in each bedroom, and an upgrade of the shared bathroom facilities.
Each boarding house has a House Parent who is responsible for the pastoral care of the students with each floor also having a member of duty staff available every evening. Pastoral care and staffing Here at Stonyhurst, pastoral care is extremely important.
Accommodation for the Language School is offered in some of the College's finest boarding houses. We have 40 en-suite rooms which are either single or twin bedded. In addition, we have 3 other boarding areas, which are either single or twin rooms with shared bathroom facilities.
A major refurbishment of one of the boarding houses took during summer 2017 to include complete redecoration, new bedroom furniture and modernisation of bathroom facilities. Each boarding house will be either fully male or female with security on each floor.
We can arrange trusted UK guardianship for international families.
