Traditional co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 0-18 years. Founded in 1847. Located on the edge of Taunton Town - only 1hr 40mins direct train from London Paddington. Outstanding facilities including two swimming pools, multiple astroturf pitches, a fitness suite, a modern theatre, a music school, a spacious library, well-equipped art studios and latest IT suites.
Lively international community leading the way in independent education, with over 50 nationalities. Offer A Levels, IB, BTEC and Foundation at Sixth Form, plus USA University and SAT preparation and testing. Taunton School comprises of Nursery, Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory, Senior, Sixth Form and Taunton School International (TSI).

The School was founded in 1847. Due to its non-conformist foundation, the School has always been able to boast an inclusive, broad-minded and welcoming character. It moved to its present site in 1870. The original house, Fairwater, dating from the 18th century, is now a boys' boarding house.
