This achievement comes from the progressive maturity of pupils´ ability, skills and sense of responsibility over their school career. Over 20 AS and A-level courses are offered in the Sixth Form. Additional breadth of study is provided by our Sixth Form enrichment programme including General Studies.

90% of our recent leavers' went on to study at University, with the other 10% choosing apprenticeships or a gap year. Of those going to University, 40% are studying at a Russell Group institution.
Almost a quarter chose a scientific/medical degree, 10% maths or business and other strong areas include history, law, psychology and sports science. A number of students choose to study abroad at institutions such as ETH in Zurich and New York University in Abu Dhabi (NYUAD).

School was founded by the Methodist Conference in 1812 as a boarding school for the sons of Methodist Ministers. Now a flourishing day school, we still provide high quality accommodation for boarders who ensure the school is buzzing with activity seven days a week and provide a strong nucleus for our community along with the excellent clubs and activities.
Pupils can board on a full or weekly basis; we also offer flexi boarding which offers an ideal solution to the demands of modern family life. "Our child enjoys being part of a big family and enjoys the many activities that are offered, describing Woodhouse Grove as a home from home""He has become a lot more independent and confident and is flourishing in this diverse and enriching environment." Our daily routine gives our pupils structure through the day in order to their academic work but with the careful balance of social time to encourage interaction and play.
A genuine home away from home
Modern day boarding is very much a 'home from home' experience and our boarders' comment that 'Boarding is like being in a big family with all your brothers and sisters'. Our boarding houses are each staffed by a mixture of Houseparents, Deputy Houseparent and House tutors.
Two members of staff are on duty throughout the day and one residential member of staff overnight (per boarding house). Head of our Boarding Houses Mr Matt Dobson- Head of Boys' Boarding - lives on site Mrs Nicola Bradburne - Head of Girls' Boarding - lives on site Both Heads are supported by a team of boarding tutors and /medical staff Miller House, Girls, 11-18 years (Girls) Miller House All our boarding girls live in Miller House, which is located within the heart of the main school building, giving them fantastic views over the Aire valley.
